Troubleshoot issues related to low internal memory on your device for the LG Stylo 3
This article helps you troubleshoot low internal memory issues on your LG Stylo 3
You may have low internal memory issues if your phone is:
Displaying low memory error messages
Unable to install applications
Freezing or unresponsive
These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.
Low memory issues can arise when you have too many applications on your LG Stylo� 3 or when you need to clear your application cache.
Verify your LG Stylo 3 has available storage.
From the home screen swipe down, tap Settings.
Tap on General
- Scroll down to tap Storage.
- Refer to Available in the Overview section to determine if your phone has low memory.
Uninstall unused applications.
We recommend that you uninstall unused applications when possible. It helps free up internal memory and can improve device performance.
Note: Your LG Stylo 3 comes with some pre-installed applications that you can't uninstall.
Move applications to the memory card.
By default, your LG Stylo 3 saves all applications to internal memory. To free up internal memory, you can move some applications to the memory card.
Note: Be sure your memory card has enough space to handle the transfer. You can also consider switching to a higher capacity memory card.
From the home screen, swipe down on the Status bar with 2 fingers.
Tap the Settings icon.
Tap the General tab.
Scroll to and tap Apps.
Scroll to and tap the application.
Tap Storage.
Tap Change.
Tap SD card.
To move the application to the memory card, tap MOVE.
Clear application cache.
Each application has a cache of temporary files that may be taking up memory. Try to free up space by clearing the application cache from your larger applications first and then continue to clear the cache on the rest of your apps. You may not be able to clear the cache for every application and, rarely, an application may not function as expected afterward.
Clear the application cache on your applications to free up space and improve performance.
Be sure you clear only the application cache and not the application data.
When you clear the application data, it removes your personal settings and info such as login information and high scores.

- From the home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
- Scroll to and tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Apps.
- Scroll to and tap an application.
- Tap App info.
- Tap Clear cache.
5. Perform a soft reset.
A soft reset deletes any temporary files and can potentially free up internal memory without erasing any of your content or data.
With the phone powered on, remove the battery cover by prying up on the notch in the lower right corner of the phone.
Remove the battery by pulling up from the notch at the bottom of the battery.
Wait 10 seconds.
Reinstall the battery.
Reattach the battery cover.
Turn the phone back on.
Note: To optimize device performance, be sure your LG Stylo 3 is running the most recent device software.Check for software updates.
