Troubleshoot issues related to apps on your device for the Coolpad SNAP

This article helps troubleshoot malfunctioning applications on your Coolpad Snap

You may have an unstable application if it:

  • Doesn't open
  • Crashes frequently
  • Freezes or becomes unresponsive
  • Displays error messages

These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.

  1. Perform a soft reset.

A soft reset deletes any temporary files that may be causing the issue, but does not erase any of your content or data.

    1. Turn off the device by pressing and holding the End Call key.
    2. Wait 10 seconds.
    3. Press the End Call key to turn the device back on.
  2. Clear application cache.

Note: Clear the application cache on your applications to free up space and improve performance. Be sure you clear only the application cache and not the application data. When you clear the application data, it removes your personal settings and info such as login information and high scores. Clearing the application cache does not erase any of your content or data. Below are the steps to clear application cache:

    1. From the home screen, select the OK key.
    2. Select the Settings icon by pressing the OK key.
    3. Scroll to and select Device by pressing the OK key.
    4. Scroll to and select Storage by pressing the OK key.
    5. Scroll to and select Other apps by pressing the OK key.
    6. Scroll to and select the malfunctioning app by pressing the OK key.
    7. Select Clear cache by pressing the OK key.

  3. Clear application data.

Caution: When you clear application data, you're permanently deleting your user information, settings, high scores, credit card information, and other files that weren't downloaded originally.

When you clear application data, the application resets to look like the first time you opened it.

    7. Select Clear Data by pressing the OK key.

Note: To optimize device performance, be sure your Coolpad Snap is running the most recent device software. Check for software updates.
