Troubleshoot issues related to email on your device for the Alcatel GO FLIP

This article helps troubleshoot email issues on your Alcatel GO FLIP

You may have email issues if you're unable to:

� Send emails
� Receive emails

These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.

1. Verify mobile data is enabled.

1. From the home screen, press the OK key.
2. Scroll to Settings and press the OK key.
3. In the Network & Connectivity tab, select Mobile network & Data and press the OK key.
4. Select Data Connection and press the OK key.
5. Select On and press the OK key.

2. Verify your Alcatel GO FLIP is connected to the Nationwide Sprint 4G LTE Network.

1. From the home screen, press the OK key.
2. Scroll to Settings and press the OK key.
3. Scroll to the Device tab, then select System Updates and press the OK key.
4. Select Update Profile and press the OK key.
5. Wait for the update to complete, then test to see if your issue is resolved.

If your Alcatel GO FLIP still can't connect to data, troubleshoot data connectivity.

3. Verify that the email address and password are correct.

On your Alcatel GO FLIP web browser, navigate to your email provider's website and try to sign in to your email account.

If you're unable to sign in, double-check that you entered the correct username and password.

If you recently updated your email account password, you also have to update the email settings on your Alcatel GO FLIP.

4. Double-check that you have set up your email account correctly on your Alcatel GO FLIP

  • If you've already set up the email address on your Alcatel GO FLIP, remove it from your phone to delete any incorrect settings:

Note: Removing your email account doesn't delete any of your emails, it only removes the link to your account for now.

  1. From the home screen, press the OK key.
  2. Scroll to E-mail and press the OK key.
  3. Press Options.
  4. Scroll to select Settings and press the OK key.
  5. Select the account you want to remove and press the OK key.
  6. Press Delete Account.
  7. Press Delete to confirm.
  • Add the email account back to your Alcatel GO FLIP.

5. Perform a soft reset.

A soft reset reconnects your Alcatel GO FLIP to the Nationwide Sprint 4G LTE Network and does not erase any of your content or data.

1. Press and hold the Power key until the phone powers off.
2. Press and hold the Power key to power the phone back on.

Note:To optimize device performance, be sure your Alcatel GO FLIP is running the most recent device software. Check for software updates.
