Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Sometimes we share your information that doesn’t directly identify you—like when you’ve visited our sites or used the apps on your phone. This type of sharing is considered a “sale.”

If you tell us to not sell your personal information, we’ll stop sharing your data (like your device ID) with third parties (like marketing companies).

However, we’ll still need to share some of your data with certain providers that help us deliver the products and services you love. This sharing isn’t considered a “sale” and these providers won’t use your personal information for their own purposes.

Let us use your data for analytics and reporting

Like most companies, we’re able to access general information about our customers, app users, and site visitors. This may include phone and app usage data, demographics, and location details. We partner with other companies to analyze this data and create business and marketing reports that we may share with others.

We always take extra care and use strong safety measures to make sure the reports we share don’t include data that directly identifies you.

 

What this means for you
One example might be a report showing how often a game was downloaded in the past year across a large number of users. These reports do not identify you personally.

Let us use your data to personalize the ads and offers you receive

With your consent, we’ll combine the data used for Relevant ads with your precise location, demographics, web-browsing activity, and information you provide to us like gender, age, interests, and survey responses to improve the ads you receive, making them more relevant to you and provide you with offers that might be interesting to you.  

What this means for you

You’re more likely to see ads and receive offers about things you like. For example, if you listen to podcasts and have a fitness tracker, and we know your demographics, then we and our marketing partners may send you personalized offers or ads for fitness trackers or sporty products.

Let us use your data to make ads more relevant to you

We and our advertising partners want to show ads that interest you. To create ads you might be interested in, we use mobile advertising ID and app usage data (what apps are on your phone, how often you open an app, and how long you use an app) from your broadband and device data. We use this data to create inferences (e.g., sports lover, cooking enthusiast) and provide you with more relevant ads.

If you tell us you don’t want us to use this data for these purposes by setting this privacy tool to the “OFF” position, you’ll still receive ads, but they won’t be tailored to you.

What this means for you

Based on your data, you might receive ads that talk about some of your favorite things, such as sports teams, music artists, clothing brands, or vacation spots.

Opt Out of Profiling and Automated Decision Making (PAD)

Sometimes we use methods to profile our customers in an automated manner to ensure efficient and effective decision making. Some of this information is considered automated profiling.

If you tell us not to do automated profiling, we will stop this processing this and where possible move this into a manual flow.

What this means for you

You're in charge of what automated profiling we do with your personal data. Just sign into your account and tell us your "Opt out of PAD" preferences. We will honor your choices every time you log in.
