Sprint Preferred Retailer Program

Sprint's Preferred Retailer Program, along with our programs for Exclusive and Multicarrier Dealers, is currently not accepting applications. We encourage you to read the Program Overview document as we review our retailer mix for each market. We invite you to visit one of our branded locations when considering your next wireless phone, home phone, mobile broadband or tablet/notebook purchase.

As a Sprint Preferred Retailer, you will have access to Sprint’s extensive portfolio of wireless products (Sprint, Boost and Virgin) and solutions to meet your customers’ evolving communications needs. Sprint offers a full range of advanced voice and data services designed to help consumers and businesses succeed.

Preferred Retailers benefit from high quality Sprint products and services, profitable compensation programs, sales tools and fulfillment options - plus brand recognition few other suppliers can match! You will also receive the support of a dedicated Indirect sales management team who will work with you to establish your relationship with Sprint, and provide continued sales support and training opportunities.


Prospective Preferred Retailers must have adequate financial resources and retail management experience in addition to the following minimum requirements:

Application and Contractual:
  • Completed AR Application
  • Minimum net worth of $500,000
  • Adequate Credit/Financial Rating
  • Tax returns and financial statements to establish a line of credit for equipment
  • Submission of a 3 year business plan for approval by Sprint that includes a financial pro forma and plans for sales and marketing activity
  • Maintain a monthly minimum net unit activation quota and churn requirements
  • Sign and execute Sprint Authorized Representative Agreement
  • Complete Sprint Nextel credit application, as applicable
Operations, Sales and Marketing
  • Commitment and proven track record of quality customer service and support
  • Proven ability to grow market share utilizing marketing resources such as advertising, co-op, direct mail, etc.
  • Experience maximizing operational efficiencies including labor costs, inventory, reducing shrink, etc.
  • Intent to own & operate multiple retail locations exclusively offering Sprint products and services
  • Ability to attract, develop and retain quality personnel
  • Professional store appearance that meet branding requirements
