Mobile Merit Awards named Sprint as the winner in the “Mobile Technologies: 4G Service Creation and Development” category. Mobile Merits are given out bi-annually and notes the excellence achieved in the global mobile industry.


Sprint received the J.D. Power and Associates Award for “Highest Call Quality Performance” among wireless cell phone users in the West Region in a tie in Q1.

PC World magazine surveyed the three major carriers’ 3G networks in 13 cities and reported: “Sprint easily delivered on its dependability promises in our tests, with a reliability rate of 90.5 percent.” Sprint was more reliable than AT&T in every market, and tied or more reliable than Verizon in 8 markets, the magazine said.

Atlantic-ACM, a leading provider of strategic research and consulting services serving the telecommunications and information industries, rated Sprint’s network number one for wholesale data quality. announced results of its own tests of wireless Internet service and modems and reported, “If you want to stay connected to the Web wirelessly as you travel, it’s hard to beat Sprint”.

Readers of the Bristol Herald Courier ranked Sprint as the “#1 cell phone provider” in Bristol, VA.
