Recently, I caught something on "The Today Show" that was incredibly disheartening: A story about Ashlynn
Conner, a 10-year-old girl who decided to take her own life. Her decision came after a two-year-long bullying
episode at her school.
Ashlynn asked her mom if she could be homeschooled after she was harassed on the playground and called a "slut." She had no idea what a slut was, according to her mother, who told her they would go to the school and talk about it on Monday.
Ashlynn didn't live to see Monday because she hung herself in her bedroom closet.
