Koznick Crashes Out of Slalom
Team Sprint athlete Kristina Koznick was eliminated in the first
run of the women's slalom, crashing at five gates from the finish.
Koznick apparently suffered no injuries and was able to ski to
the finish area. The first run was held in a steady snow and the
course
was extremely difficult and slippery, forcing several other contenders
also to fall on the first run.
Koznick was considered the last hope for the U.S. women to win
an Alpine skiing medal.
