Sprint Involvement
Sprint has been a proud sponsor of the United States Ski and Snowboard
Association (USSA) since 1991. As the Official Communications Provider
to the USSA, Sprint helps support USSA efforts to field and maintain
teams and world-class ski and snowboard athletes.
As part of this special relationship, Sprint is a sponsor of the 2003 Sprint
Ultimate Airwave, which is a made-for-television aerial event that took place in
August and The Sprint U.S. Freestyle Grand National taking place in Deer Valley on January 30-31.
In addition to sponsoring the USSA, Sprint also sponsors five
athletes. The world-class athletes include: Jonny Moseley, 1998
Gold Medal
winner; Michelle Roark, 1999 Dual Mogul champion; Joe Pack, 2002
Silver medal winner; Hannah Hardaway,
freestyle skier; and Shannon Bahrke, freestyle skier.
