As a leading global communications company, Sprint is committed to conduct its business in a manner consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to protect human rights within the company’s sphere of influence. Sprint demonstrates leadership in responsible workplace practices, and endeavors to conduct its business operations in a manner free from discrimination with intolerance for abuses of human rights.
Sprint’s commitment is formalized and manifested through the Sprint Code of Conduct, which encompasses employees, customers, suppliers and other parties with whom Sprint comes into contact.
The Code is applicable to all employees, the Sprint board of directors, Sprint subsidiaries and anyone acting on behalf of Sprint. The Code establishes the basic foundation of Sprint’s ethics by communicating the company’s philosophy and commitment to all employees, customers, stakeholders and the communities in which Sprint does business. It is Sprint’s responsibility to treat employees, customers, investors, business partners and communities with honesty and integrity while providing reliable and superior service. Acting with integrity and respecting the human rights of others is not just the right thing to do; it is the guiding principle with which Sprint conducts its business.
The Sprint Code of Conduct states that “Sprint is committed to treat each other as we wish to be treated ourselves: with dignity and respect.” Sprint recognizes that highly productive and diverse employees are essential to success and that they should be given opportunities to flourish in a barrier-free, non-discriminatory environment. Sprint conducts all employment practices (including activities relating to recruiting, hiring, benefits, leaves of absence, training, transfer, promotion, job assignments, compensation, corrective action and termination) in a non-discriminatory manner. Sprint further supports the elimination of all forms of forced, bonded or compulsory labor and the freedom to decide to choose or not choose to be represented by a third party. Sprint strives to provide a safe, secure and healthy working environment for all its employees, visitors and customers.
Sprint is committed to improving the lives of customers, both as a leading U.S. corporate citizen and as a provider or consumer products and services. Through technology, Sprint can provide customers with advanced tools to enhance their lifestyles, improve work/life balance and protect their loved ones. In times of disaster, Sprint has trained teams to provide equipment and services to keep customers and emergency workers connected.
Among the many things that customers count on Sprint for is protection of their privacy. The Code outlines the expectation for employees to handle and protect customers’ private information with extreme care and caution. With appropriate court orders, Sprint also assists law enforcement to support the human rights of victims of crime using Sprint technologies.
