Sprint and the Environment

Sprint is committed to being a corporate leader in environmental responsibility. In 2008, Sprint became the first United States wireless provider to establish a clear environmental vision by publishing a set of long-term environmental goals. Sprint already leads the industry through its commitment to absolutely reduce greenhouse gas emissions, deployment of renewable energy, and its aggressive cell-phone recycling efforts. These efforts are bolstered by environmentally responsible building practices, “green” IT, waste-reduction efforts, e-billing practices, environmentally beneficial products and services, and a strong environmental employee-engagement program, to name just a few.

Please read on to learn about our long-term environmental goals and the critical environmental initiatives we have under way.

*Newsweek Green Rankings based upon environmental impact, green policies and performance, and reputation survey scores as of September 21, 2009.
