Sprint offers international wireless services throughout the world. Not all features and services are available in all locations. Check the coverage details to determine which features will be available in your destination. You may need to also verify you have a device that is able to access services needed.
- CDMA Voice – Make and receive calls on CDMA networks.
- GSM Voice – Make and receive calls on GSM networks.
- 1x Data – Access e-mail and browse the web on CDMA networks.
- Ev Data – Data services on CDMA networks at faster speeds than 1x.
- GPS – Location based services provided in limited areas. Wireless data roaming capable device with GPS capability required. Autonomous Fix only (The GPS antenna must have a clear view of the sky in order to obtain a position). Many services offered on network are notavailable while roaming.
- GPRS Data – Access e-mail and browse the web on GSM networks.
- EDGE Data – Data services on GSM networks at slightly faster speed than GPRS.
- UMTS Data – Data services on GSM networks at faster speeds than GPRS and EDGE.
- Texting - Text messaging is not yet available while roaming outside of the US, Puerto Rico and USVI. Although you may receive a free welcome message upon arrival in a country, all other message will be held for 48 hours to be delivered upon returning to the Sprint network. Messages that can not be delivered will be deleted after 48 hours. Messages that go through will be rated based on your texting plan or $0.20 per message if you do not have texting plan.
