Sprint's unbundled Interoffice (IOF) Transport provides transmission between central offices located in the same LATA.

Sprint has been providing state-of-the-art telecommunications network technology for years. We keep service simple for you because our Carrier Markets organization serves as your single point-of-contact for ordering, provisioning, and billing.

Using Sprint's IOF Transport, you may:

Product Details

Sprint's unbundled Interoffice (IOF) Transport provides transmission between central offices located in the same LATA. There are two types of IOF transport: shared and dedicated.

Shared IOF transport carries transmission from several different carriers, including Sprint.

Dedicated IOF transport gives you exclusive use of the interoffice facility. It includes:

  • DS1 service: Unbundled dedicated DS1 transport consists of a two-point digital channel, which provides for simultaneous two-way transmission of serial bipolar return-to-zero isochronous digital electrical signals at a transmission rate of 1.544 megabits per second (MBPS).
  • DS3 service: Unbundled dedicated DS3 transport consists of a two-point digital channel, which provides for simultaneous two-way transmission of serial, bipolar, return-to-zero isochronous digital electrical signals at a transmission rate of 44.736 megabits per second (MBPS).
  • Access to unbundled dedicated DS1 transport is from your central office or from your collocation arrangement with Sprint via an appropriate cross-connection made on the Digital Signal Cross-connect (DSX).
