CLEC Announcement

February 24, 2006

Sprint has evaluated the recent enhancement to the ordering process for comeback conversions that became effective January 4, 2006. Based on user feedback, we have made the following minor revisions to the comeback procedures to further improve your ordering experience with Sprint.

Comeback Process - All Product Types

To ensure accurate billing, Sprint will place a check in the CLEC to CLEC box on the CMBK (comeback) PON. This will ensure a disconnect charge is not applied to the order.

Comeback Process - Loop

The CLEC will continue to receive a faxed local service request (LSR) if the end user is porting the phone number to Sprint. Once coordination is confirmed by the CLEC, a CMBK PON will be entered into IRES by a Sprint retail center representative. An additional remark will be added to the CLEC tab by the Sprint representative that states, "PORTING NUMBER - LSR CONFIRMED (date)".

If the end user is not porting the number to Sprint, but is receiving a new phone number instead, an LSR will not be sent to the CLEC. An additional remark will be added to the CLEC tab by the Sprint representative that states, "LSR NOT REQUIRED - NEW NUMBER ASSIGNED".

Any questions regarding these changes may be directed to your sales manager.
