With Sprint's Line Information Database (LIDB) Storage service, Sprint's end-user telephone numbers and billing restriction settings are stored in Sprint's LIDB along with those of a variety of other companies like you who use Sprint as their database provider. Sprint's LIDB is used by service providers to validate whether or not billing restrictions (no collect or no bill-to-third) have been placed on alternate billing numbers presented to them by their end-user customers.
LIDB Access customers are typically Operator Service Providers (OSPs), Interexchange Carriers (IXCs) and Local Exchange Carriers (LECs). They pay Sprint for each database inquiry. Sprint, in turn, shares a portion of that revenue with you.
Sprint's Line Information Database (LIDB) Storage service allows alternate billing number restriction information to become available to a wider selection of service providers. You improve your end-user customers' protection from fraudulent charges.
This product leverages your end-user customer information to provide operator service providers with access to billing restriction information. Once the information is loaded in the LIDB database, service providers are ready to generate revenue for you.
