  • DeCA – This 200-site Frame Relay network can provide industry-leading data connectivity for all DOD CONUS Commissary stores, supporting point-of-sales activities, inventory control, and all back-office administrative support activities. This network has been in place since April 2000.
  • Barracks Phone Service – The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and Sprint provide telecommunications services to active military personnel living in barracks. Sprint installed a complete working telephone system including direct long distance and local calling. Features provided include voice mail and call waiting.
  • Next Generation Weather Radar Communications Service (NEXRAD-CS) – Sprint provides the government with communication services for the NEXRAD program. Through the NEXRAD-CS contract, Sprint connects approximately 135 Air Force and National Weather Service radar sites to users throughout the 48 contiguous states.
  • TNET – TNET addresses the Video Teletraining (VTT) network challenge. Preparing for the 21st century, the Department of the Army, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) set an ambitious goal for meeting the educational and training needs of uniformed services personnel, their units, and commands. The Sprint integrated solution includes videoconferencing equipment for training soldiers in Hungary, Germany, and Macedonia. The teletraining network lets the Army conduct live, interactive sessions — originating from more than 100 U.S. sites — with soldiers overseas. Featuring a flexible communications infrastructure based on satellite and terrestrial links, the network offers a savings by reducing travel and per diem costs and providing an effective allocation of personnel and resources.
  • TC3 – In support of Operation Joint Endeavor, Sprint was selected as the first U.S. prime contractor to fully replace and commercialize tactical voice and data communications in an operation theater — where U.S. forces are stationed in Hungary, Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Croatia. The Sprint solution utilized resources from around the world to provide seamless, reliable, and robust commercial communications systems for U.S. forces down to the base/airbase/remote camp level. To meet mission-critical military operations requirements, this successful program included the deployment of commercial transmission systems, including satellite and microwave line-of-site radios, PBX-based voice switching, IP data routing, email/file servers, and multiplexing equipment. As the first-ever commercialization program, it resulted in the release of U.S. forces tactical communications systems, equipment, and personnel for future contingencies.
  • Navy/Marine Corps Communication Services – Sprint is the full service provider to Navy/Marine Corps organizations in CONUS and overseas. Sprint is also a provider of voice/data service to the Navy/Marine team in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
